From the Hands of our Ancestors

Husi Bei Ala Timor Sira Nia Liman – From the Hands of Our Ancestors is testimony to the survival of Timor-Leste’s cultural inheritance and acknowledges the endurance of the many cultures that comprise one of the world’s newest nations. This book was produced as part of the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory's 2009 exhibition, which displayed works from the National Collection of Timor-Leste for the first time since the nation’s restoration of independence in 2002.
