Telstra NATSIAA 2025 Virtual Gallery
Through a collaboration between the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT), and Darwin company Rise Consulting, visitors can now navigate their way through the NATSIAA virtual gallery, which showcases all 71 finalist artworks, including this year’s category award-winning works. MAGNT, in partnership with Telstra, invites art lovers across Australia and the world to explore the 2025 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards Telstra (NATSIAA) online—through the virtual gallery, which is now live.

The Collective Presents Over August
The Collective is an alliance of five nationally significant organisations —
Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation (DAAF Foundation), Music NT, Museum and
Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT), Yothu Yindi Foundation (YYF) and
Outstation Gallery — united to present Australia’s leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander arts and cultural experience.

National Science Week 2025 - Central Australia
National Science Week is Australia’s biggest annual celebration of science running from 9 to 17 August 2025. The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is a recipient of a Commonwealth National Science Week Grant providing individuals and organisations up to $20,000 to support the delivery of science engagement activities during National Science Week 2025.

Introducing the 2025 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards Guest Curator Kate ten Buuren.
Kate ten Buuren is a Taungurung artist and independent curator who lives in Melbourne on Kulin Country. Previously, Kate was Senior Curator, First Nations at Melbourne Arts Precinct Corporation, embedding First Peoples’ stories across the redevelopment of Melbourne’s expanding Arts Precinct. In 2024, Kate co-curated The Blak Infinite with Yorta Yorta woman Kimberley Moulton in a collaborative project between RISING and Fed Square. The Blak Infinite reflected First Peoples’ connections to the cosmos through public art in large-scale installations, projections, poetry, photography and more.

Support announced for regional museums
MAGNT is excited to announce the recipients of the 2025 Regional Museums Grant Program. Funded by the Northern Territory Government and administered by MAGNT, the program supports the preservation, conservation and display of significant historical cultural material in the NT. This round sees a total amount of $189,961.32 awarded to eight regional museums, galleries and cultural centres across the Territory.
