Regional Museums
The Northern Territory is home to some the most unique and remote art, history and cultural collections in Australia. Featuring treasures of national significance, these community collections tell the story of our past and present to local and visiting audiences.
The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory offers regional museums, keeping places and galleries funding and support to preserve, collect and share these unique stories of our cultural heritage.

Quick Response Grant Program (2025-2026)
The Quick Response Grant aims to support initiatives that require less funding, but are no less important, than major projects that require significant budgets. The aim of the grant is to fill a funding gap within Regional Museums by supporting projects that may not be included in annual grant applications.
Regional Museums Grants Program
The Regional Museums Grants Program supports the preservation, conservation and display of significant national and historical cultural material in the Northern Territory.
Regional museums, galleries and cultural centres in the Northern Territory are eligible to apply for funding of up to $40,000 per applicant, to develop, conserve, preserve or exhibit our unique cultural heritage.
Funding is provided by the Northern Territory Government administered by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
