STUDENT PROGRAMS

MAGNT SCHOOL VISITS

MAGNT school visits include tours and talks. Our programs encourage students to develop critical and creative thinking skills. We value reflective observation and independent thinking and highlight the importance of listening and responding to others.

Tours for students are tailored to meet individual student group capabilities and needs across all year levels from Kindergarten, transition to Year 12, TAFE and are also available for higher education students.

The following tours are available subject to the availability of MAGNT curators.

EXHIBITION

Exhibition promotes different ways of looking at and engaging with art. Students discuss their ideas in order to develop their observational skills, and improve their critical skills and arts vocabulary.

NORTHERN TERRITORY HISTORY

Students will learn about the legacy of Cyclone Tracy and the impact it had on Darwin. This program will provide an opportunity to explore nature, social history, science, geography and the environment.

NATURAL SCIENCE

Students will discover, consider and discuss the unique natural history of the Northern Territory through evolution, archaeology, fossils or the animals of today that have adapted to live in the desert and tropics.
