The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is home to internationally renowned cultural and scientific collections, and exciting research, exhibitions and public programs.
MAGNT's principal site is located at Bullocky Point and we also operate the historic Fannie Bay Gaol in Darwin and Megafuana Central in Alice Springs.
We are committed to improving the accessibility of each site for all visitors.

Parking and amenities
Accessible parking bays are located in the MAGNT Visitor Car Park and there is an accessible toilet located in the foyer.
Onsite access
Mobility impaired and wheelchair access is available via an all-access ramp and a chairlift provides access to the upper levels of the annexed galleries, including the
Colin Jack-Hinton Maritime Gallery (Maritime Gallery). The ground floor of the Maritime Gallery can be accessed via the exterior of the building. If would like to
see our ship-shape collection from the ground floor, please speak to the team at the Information Desk.
Wheelchairs
Manual wheelchairs are available free of charge for use during a visit. Contact the Information Desk to make a booking or enquire about availability on arrival.
Assistance Animals
Guide dogs and registered assistance animals are welcome at MAGNT.
Please show proof of accreditation at the Information Desk on arrival.
Accessible Content
Large text versions of labels that accompany artworks in our temporary exhibitions and for the Soundscape featured in the Cyclone Tracy exhibition are available for loan. Thes Room Sheets and Transcript can be collected from the Information Desk. The documentaries and short films developed by MAGNT are subtitled however adding subtitles to multimedia artworks is at the discretion of the artist.
Low Sensory Sessions
The doors of MAGNT open at 9.00am on the first Friday of every month to offer
a dedicated low sensory session. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience exhibitions at their own pace and with reduced sensory stimuli, such as sound and lighting. Standard settings will be reinstated at 10.00am.
