Annual Giving Campaign

Help MAGNT develop a new major cross-collection storytelling journey bringing together natural sciences, history, and Aboriginal knowledge

Support the redevelopment of Transformations over the next three years

After over 25 years Transformations: The Changing Nature of the Territory (Gallery Two), will be de-installed to make way for a new exhibition experience weaving natural science, history, culture and Aboriginal knowledge together to tell the stories of the Northern Territory.

Together we can tell the stories of the Northern Territory exploring the rich biodiversity across NT landscapes, bringing significant objects and specimens to life.

Make a gift to MAGNT's Transformations Redevelopment Fund

We’re calling on your support to help us reach our ambitious goals

As a community it’s time to imagine a future permanent gallery at MAGNT. An experience that weaves stories of time, place and life in the Northern Territory together for generations of visitors to explore and enjoy. A multi-sensory narrative that invites audiences and supporters to engage with our collections as a living, interconnected experience.

We envisage being able to travel through the extent of the Territory, south to north and back again. Learn the story of arid Central Australia, once home to megafauna and wetlands; journey through desert, savannah and monsoonal landscapes alongside the animals that call these expanses home.

I’m proud to work with donors to shape this ambitious project – one that will deepen how visitors engagement with the Territory’s environments, culture and histories. Let’s tell contemporary stories of what matters, and your donation, no matter what size, plays a vital role in enabling research, collection, interpretation and design of these stories for future generations right here in the Northern Territory. Be a part of it!

– Dr Kirsti Abbott, Head of Science
