Gift in Will

A gift in your will helps MAGNT to provide meaningful cultural experiences to the Northern Territory for future generations

Leaving a bequest in your name or in honour of a loved one is a meaningful way to make a lasting difference to your community.

As a not-for-profit organisation, MAGNT relies on the generosity of individuals to continue to collect, protect and share Territory stories. We invite you to consider nominating the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory in your estate planning.

"Some kind of lovely quote if we had an ambassador"

Why consider leaving a gift to MAGNT

Leaving a gift in your estate to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory will leave a lasting impact for future generations. MAGNT relies on the generosity of individuals to collect, protect and share Territory stories.

You may choose leave a percentage of your estate, a specific dollar amount, or a residuary bequest. Your gift, of any size, will help MAGNT to protect, collect and share Australia's unique Territory stories without affecting your independence and self-sufficiency today.

Directing your gift in Will

To MAGNT generally

We can make the greatest use of a monetary gift intended for the general purposes of The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. This enables MAGNT to direct your gift to where it is most needed at the time, to maximum benefit.

Specific curatorial area or resource department

You may consider specifying a curatorial area, such as Aboriginal art and material culture, or resource department, such as Conservation, to advance an area of specific interest to you. If you are considering restricting your legacy to a particular area we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your plans before you commit them to a Will, to ensure we can meet your wishes.

Acquisitions

The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory can only accept artworks and objects that align with MAGNT's acquisition policy. If you are considering bequeathing an object or work of art or leaving a bequest to a specific project, please contact us to discuss your ideas.
